- W2201789966 abstract "Objective To investigate the distribution and antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Guangzhou from 2003 to 2007,so as to guide the using of antibiotics in clinic reasonably.Methods All the 499 P.aeruginosa strains isolated in Guangzhou was identified by the automated analyzer VITEK-32 system,and its antibiotic resistance was determined by K-B method and analyzed by WHONET 5.4 software.The MICs of antimicrobial agents were determined by agar dilution method according to the guidelines of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI).SPSS 11.5 software was used to analyze experimental data.Results Of the 499 P.aeruginosa,resistant rate to IPM,MEM,CAZ,FEP,CN,AK,CIP,LEV,ATM,PRL,and TZP were 32.8%,21.4%,27.1%,28.3%,42.0%,36.6%,7.6%,8.1%,20.5%,8.8%,and 8.3%,respectively.In that five years from 2003 to 2007,the resistant rate of P.aeruginosa to IPM was 27.7%,25.0%,31.6%,35.2%,and 34.3%,respectively,while the resistant rate of P.aeruginosa to MEM was 22.2%,21.0%,21.2%,19.7%,and 24.5%,respectively.Conclusions The total antibiotic resistance of P.aeruginosa in Guangzhou during 2003～2007 is critical and is becoming a serious problem.P.aeruginosa is only susceptible to quinolones and penicillins antibiotics,but shows serious antibiotic resistance to aminoglycosides,carbapenems,and cephalosporins antibiotics seriously.This study can help doctors to select antibiotics correctly according to the results of susceptibility test,and also offer first-hand epidemiology information and dymamic changes of antibiotic resistance to clinician." @default.
