An incomplete list of such issues includes the economics of power line routing, AC vs. DC transmission technology, the location of nuclear power reactors, selection of disposal sites, the geometry of large antenna grids for communication with submarines, a variety of other military and aerospace problems, and medical Xray technology. There have been many attempts to explain the problematic state of affairs in respect to the very presence or absence of effects, let alone problems with dose rate estimates.
