- W2208984917 abstract "The exposome has emerged as a concept under the auspices of the field of environmental health sciences, which is primarily composed of environmental epidemiology, exposure science, and toxicology. Originally proposed as a way to address some of the limitations of exposure assessment, the exposome has the potential to impact all of the subdisciplines in environmental health sciences. The exposome is highly complementary to the traditional approaches used by exposure scientists. It has the potential to improve population-based studies by providing greater detail and resolution about environmental contributors to disease. The exposome also provides an excellent translational framework for toxicological studies that examine the mechanisms by which certain exposures alter our biology." @default.
