- W2222883923 abstract "In the study area located Central Taurus Belt, otocthonous Geyikdagi and lower allocthonous Bozkir and upper allocthonous Aladag tectonic slices of the Taurus Orogenic Belt crop out. The each one of the tectonic slices comprises individual sequences formed in different paleogeographic environments having important distinctions. The study area was a basin in which were deposited marine detritic sediments including graptolitic shales during the late Cambrian-Ordovician. The field folded and uplifted by probably late Pan-African orogeny at the beginning of the Devonian was transformed by a marine transgression to a shallow sedimantation environment, in which were deposited detritic sediments intercaleted carbonate rocks with abundant fossils in the late Devonian period. . In the region, preserved reefal-lagonar shallow carbonate shelf position during the Permian, Triassic rocks are not observed. At the district, repeatedly folded and uplifted by early Cimmerician orogeny, Lias-Dogger is represented by continental-subcontinental detritic deposits; Malm-Early Cretaceous is also formed by shallow and stable shelf carbonates. In this carbonate platform begining to be unstable in the Late Cretaceous, pelagic rhytmic series consisting of clayey carbonate alternated with clastic sediments were deposited on the Senonian time. The Geyikdagi Unit was overlain tectonically by the Bozkir Unit represented rocks belonging to the ophiolitic melange related to the subduction events during the Late Cenonian-Early Paleocene period, as moving from the northern to the southern direction. Eocene-Oligocene aged formations were not observed in the study area. This period is represented by folding-uplifting-thrusting and erosion activities . In the Late Eocene-Oligocene transition, upper allochthonous (Aladag Unit) overthrusts on the autochthonous and lower allochthonous units as moving from north to south direction. After paroxysm period, which is ended before from Miocene , study area was again transformed to the marine sedimantation basin by erosing and improving processes at the Burdigalian." @default.
