- W2227832825 abstract "Low loss ceramics in the Zn3Nb1.88Ta0.12O8 system have been prepared through a conventional solid-state route and its crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties have been investigated. The XRD patterns revealed that all the specimens exhibited a single phase of Zn3Nb2O8 in the temperature range of 1125oC–1225 °C. The microwave dielectric properties of Zn3Nb1.88Ta0.12O8 ceramics presented a significant dependence on the sintering condition and crystal structure. Based on the Rietveld refinement method, the theoretical dielectric constant was calculated to investigate the influence of sintering temperature to the variation of dielectric constant εr. For the high-densitied Zn3Nb1.88Ta0.12O8 samples, its Q × f and τf values presented a similar change tendency with the packing fraction and Nb-site octahedral distortion, respectively. In addition, excellent microwave dielectric properties with a high Q × f value of 111, 800 GHz (at 8.490 GHz) for Zn3Nb1.88Ta0.12O8 ceramics could be obtained sintered at 1175 °C for 4 h." @default.
