- W2231041973 abstract "The purpose of this study is to investigate mixing enhancement by superposition of a temporal dependence, in the form of a pulsation, on a laminar Dean flow. The temporal dependence of the flow can make the secondary flow structure more complex. This modification enhances stretching and folding which are the main mechanisms of mixing. The assessment of mixing intensification has been done by comparing the tensors of strain rate, the global shear rates and elongation rates at the outlet of a 90° curved pipe in pulsatile and steady flows.
