- W2240772361 abstract "The spatial transient behaviour of the fundamental mode of a self-adaptive holographic laser oscillator was studied by using transfer matrix methods. The study began by considering a simple laser oscillator consisting of a plane output coupler and a nonlinear four-wave mixing (FWM) medium in a self-intersecting loop geometry. The system was then modified to consider infinite and finite FWM media, and additional intra-loop optical elements, such as lenses and Gaussian transmittance apertures. Results show that it is possible to generate and maintain the oscillation of large-volume modes allowing high energy extraction as well as good phase-conjugate quality and low-loss operation. Le comportement transitoire spatial du mode fondamental d'un resonateur auto-adaptif holographique laser a ete etudie en utilisant la methode des matrices ABCD. Au depart, l'oscillateur considere comportait un coupleur de sortie plan et un milieu non lineaire siege du melange a quatre ondes (FWM) dans une geometrie d'auto-intersection. Ensuite, le systeme a ete modifie afin de decrire egalement les milieux non lineaires de dimension transverse finie ou infinie; et quelques elements optiques additionnels dans la cavite, comme des lentilles et des ouvertures a transmittance gaussienne. Les resultats trouves montrent que la generation et l'oscillation stable de modes de grand volume est possible, ce qui permet une bonne extraction de l'energie, une bonne qualite de conjugaison de phase et un fonctionnement a faible pertes." @default.
