- W2242109289 abstract "Due to the rapid growth of automotive E/E systems, the complexity and size of the automotive software are increasing, while the product development lifecycle is becoming shorter. This trend has also developed a need for safety, so an increasing number of automotive makers demand their suppliers to meet the ISO 26262 standard. Specifically, the suppliers are required to have capability of software safety analysis and safety mechanism design. In accordance with these requirements, CBD (Component Base Development) and Software Architecture have been introduced in the auto industry as a solution to shorten the development time and reduce cost. For example, AUTOSAR can be seen as an outcome of the layered component architecture. However, CBD and software architecture are still not recognized as an effective methods to develop software. Because they’re considered that the software architecture can’t solve functional and functional safety concerns simultaneously. Also, they are thought that the process of architecture design delays the development time. In this paper, we present a software architecture design process that separates functionality from functional safety, and also increases software reusability. For partitioning functionality and functional safety, System Flow Architecture and Error-model have been applied. The resulting software architecture can be utilized in software safety analysis and safety mechanism design. We also describe a functional architecture design process to enhance software reusability, and a method to make a quantitative assessment of the software reusability." @default.
