If the coupling of these quarks to the $d$ and $s$ quarks introduces a maximal $mathrm{CP}$ violation into the Lagrangian, then the small size of the $mathrm{CP}$ violation in the neutral-$K$ mass matrix can be attributed in large part to the large masses of the quarks. If the very heavy quarks are isoscalar, then the superweak predictions for ${K}^{0}ensuremath{rightarrow}2ensuremath{pi}$, $3ensuremath{pi}$ decays are strongly adhered to. A distinctive prediction of the model is that $frac{ensuremath{Gamma}({K}_{L}ensuremath{rightarrow}{ensuremath{pi}}^{0}overline{e}e)}{ensuremath{Gamma}({K}_{L}ensuremath{rightarrow}mathrm{all})}ensuremath{simeq}frac{2ensuremath{Gamma}({K}_{L}ensuremath{rightarrow}{ensuremath{pi}}^{0}overline{ensuremath{nu}}ensuremath{nu})}{ensuremath{Gamma}({K}_{L}ensuremath{rightarrow}mathrm{all})}ensuremath{sim}{10}^{ensuremath{-}8}$, which is at least 3 orders of magnitude larger than the branching ratio predicted by other theories, both $mathrm{CP}$-conserving and $mathrm{CP}$-violating. The electric dipole moment of the neutron is estimated to be of the order of ${10}^{ensuremath{-}27}$ cm." @default.
