- W2258713041 abstract "ResumoAs principais teses de Condorcet acerca da forma de governo republicana, da instrucao publica e do exercicio da cidadania, expostas a epoca das revolucoes havidas nos Estados Unidos da America e na Franca, ao final do seculo XVIII, evidenciam a atualidade desses enunciados no contexto das sociedades republicanas e democraticas do seculo XXI, em particular das instituicoes educacionais. Esta investigacao, de base bibliografica, constitui um esforco hermeneutico de revisitar os escritos do autor e a literatura em torno desses textos, enfatizando a atualidade de aspectos da obra de Condorcet nos cenarios politico e educacional do Brasil. Dentre as proposicoes matriciais presentes em escritos do filosofo, foram elucidadas as que seguem: a republica e o exercicio da cidadania exigem uma opiniao publica ilustrada; a instrucao publica deve conceder aos cidadaos condicoes de conhecer elementos das ciencias e das artes, bem como direitos e deveres aos quais estao obrigados; a instrucao deve estimular o respeito a lei, assim como o gozo de direitos tais como o de transformar a lei e o de resistir a opressao; a desigualdade de riquezas constitui um problema nodal para a efetivacao de principios e direitos declarados inegociaveis e imprescritiveis. Em outros termos: esta pesquisa ateve-se a explicitacao de conceitos-chave de Condorcet, tais como os de republica, de instrucao publica e de cidadania, com o proposito de refletir a respeito das justificativas da educacao republicana atual. AbstractThe main theses of Condorcet in respect of the republican form of government, public instruction and citizenship, exposed at the time of American Revolution and France Revolution, at the end of the 18th century, were examined in this text with propose to demonstrate the relevance this statements in the context of the republican and democratic societies of the 21st century, particularly in educational institutions. This research uses a bibliographic base and development a hermeneutical effort to revisit the Condorcet’s writings and the literature around these texts, emphasizing the relevance of aspects of the Condorcet’s writings in political and educational scenarios in Brazil. Among the propositions presents in the Condorcet’s writings, are explained as the following: the republic and the citizenship require an enlightened public opinion; the public instruction should guaranties to the citizens the knowledge the elements of the sciences and arts, as well as the rights and obligations as required; the instruction should stimulate the respect of the law, as well as enjoyment of rights such as to change the law and to resist the oppression; the inequality of wealth is the major problem for the realization of principles and rights declared nonnegotiable and imprescriptible. In other words: this research explains the key concepts of Condorcet, such as the republic, public instruction and citizenship, for the purpose of thinking justifies of the current republican education.Keywords: Republican Education.
