• W2259579030 abstract "The objective of this study is to find different Saeng Chi (Bio-electricity) inducing factors as perceived by Korean men and women over 20 years old. Q-methodology was employed for research process and data were collected during the period March 10, 2000 to May 10, 2000. The process of the research was as follows. 1. Q-sampling has been derived from the literatures related to Saeng-Chi, individual in-depth interviews and questionaires. Total 178 statements were obtained and after its creditability and feasibility were tested by Q-methodology professors, professors of Nursing and Pedagogics. and Korean literature researchers, 36 statements were finally selected. 2. P-sampling was conducted on the basis of 50 : 50 ratio of men and women and total 36 persons (12 persons each of youth, middle age and old age) were selected. 3. Q-sorting has been done by posting 3 each of 36 Q-samples on two poles of 9 point scale pyramid enabling normal distribution and reasons were explained for the statements placed on the two poles. 4. The results of the above process were analyzed by PCQ program. As a result, 5 different Saeng Chi inducing factors were revealed as follows : 1) The first type, Relation-oriented Type consisting of 17 persons was a harmonious and realistic relationship type giving priority happiness of families and realizing necessity of economical affluence. 2) The second type, Achievement-oriented Type consisting of 11 persons has interest and strong intention in works and new experiences and feels satisfaction in works and new experiences and feels satisfaction in achievement of works. 3) The third type, Believers of Super-naturals Type consisting of 2 persons is a type who believes in existence of Chi in the universe and trusts that supernatural power enhanced by spiritual conviction and will power enables to overcome crisis. 4) The fourth type, Nature-oriented Type consisting of 4 persons is an esthetic type who feels vitality from beauty of nature and who loves nature. 5) The fifth type, Concentrator Type consisting of one persons is a type who concentrates on works at specific time and in specific space by himself and is pursuing achievements for self or a concentrating type of egocentrism. This study revealed 5 different types of resources of Saeng Chi induced by subjective perception of Koreans. These types will contribute to the finding of resources of Saeng Chi inducement which is increasing Chi-flow and to the exploitation of Saeng Chi approaching Nursing intervention." @default.
