- W2263448909 abstract "Gifted Children are often treated as a risk group because of their conspicuous behaviour and their social problems in interaction with normal gifted children of their age. But in reality gifted children and adolescents do not consist of a homogenous population. The labelling of children as gifted is deceiving, even hindering, because there exists a broad range of different types of biographies and personal structures of the persons concerned instead. The psycho-social developmental problems are often the result of social marginalization, stigmatization and finally a consequence of an undifferentiated didactics for elementary schools. The institutional selection and merging of classes with gifted children is just a temporal makeshift, but not a replacement for an inclusively organized school. With the help of two interviews conducted in classes with gifted children differences in group behaviour and variant school experiences will be elucidated in order to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of classes with a normally assumed homogenous performance pattern." @default.
