- W2277739991 abstract "Introduction: The bone loosed along the ageing process causes flabbiness and fall of facial soft tissues. There is not any way to repair the lost bony volume; the only option is to reestablish good relationship between soft tissues and the present bony bulk. We describe the procedure “mini-invasive subperiosteal facial restoration, assisted by endoscopy” that we have developed to restore the frontal region. Material: we have done this procedure on 521 patients, 419 females and 102 males, with variant combinations according to the needs of each case. Method: Through small incisions on the frontal area and supratarsal fold the forehead is approached. Under endoscopic control the muscles that low the eyebrows and act to the facial expression are selectivily debilitated. Through supratarsal approach the procerus and depressor supercilli muscles are treated. The eyebrows are relocated and anchored to periosteum, and the redundant skin is resected. The procedure, ancillary procedures, and how to avoid complications are described in detail. Results: We present the results obtained, very satisfactory for the patients and us. Observed complications are mentioned. Conclusions: We do the balance of the procedure versatility, its indications, and why it has been our first choice procedure during the last 10 years." @default.
