- W2279012372 abstract "In this chapter, we study a spin-ice type Kondo lattice model on a pyrochlore lattice. The finite temperature phase diagram of the Kondo lattice model is studied by using an efficient Monte Carlo method using the polynomial expansion technique (Sect. 2.3). This algorithm is an unbiased simulation method with well controlled approximation, that allows us to study spin-charge coupled systems using large system sizes. In this section, we present the results up to 2048 sites. By the large-scale Monte Carlo simulation, we clarify the phase diagram of the model; we find a new 32-sublattice magnetic phase with concomitant charge modulation, along with other phases such as two-in two-out and all-in/all-out orders. We also show that the spin and charge order can be switched by external magnetic field to a different one accompanied by a half magnetization plateau." @default.
