- W2279584764 abstract "HIV/AIDS is one of the major medical and public health problems in the world. Undergraduate students are particularly vulnerable to HIV/AIDS due to the fact that they are not sufficiently prepared for address problems related to their sexuality and also because they do not have enough real knowledge about HIV and AIDS. The level of knowledge does not seem to have any practical impact on attitudes towards HIV / AIDS, thus the study of knowledge about the disease among students help us understand the factors that control can contribute to effectively fight against the spread of HIV in schools. Inadequate knowledge, negative attitudes and risky practices are major hindrances to preventing the spread of HIV. Young people aged 15 to 25 years are more at risk contracting HIV/AIDS. The Undergraduate students who are not fully matured constitute a large segment of the population and remains particularly vulnerable to HIV / AIDS due to the fact that through a normal stage of development of the psycho individual the most difficult. Educational programmes with specific interventions are needed to bring behavior changes, to increase KAPs and to prevent new HIV infections." @default.
