• W2280188876 abstract "This article aims to explore and describe the democratic political communication and democracy of Indonesia type. We hope that the country's political communicators make good planning. Therefore, this article gives an overview of the basic political communication planning. This article identifies the characteristics of Indonesian peoples from the theory of sociology and anthropology. This then scrutinized it on the basis of historical reality, which the author experienced in childhood, especially in author residence. The results show that in fact Indonesia has a distinctive political communication, based on the Indonesia democratic system: Demokrasi Gotong Royong or well known as Demokrasi Pancasila. In the world it can be regarded as a form of monistic emancipatory model. Unfortunately, democracy got eroded by two trajectories of globalization which resulted in two figures causing a history accident. Efforts of Sukarno’s and Gusdur-Mega’s temporarily got stuck. But it’s not in uselessness. There is the light of hope that in the future time, peoples of Indonesia keep building characters. Hence, it’s suggested to develop conceptually, policy, and socialization on the model of democratic Indonesia.Keywords: democracy, political communication, globalization, communication plan. AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan menelusuri dan menggambarkan komunikasi politik demokratis sekaligus demokrasi khas Indonesia. Dengan harapan ada perencanaan lebih lanjut dan matang bagi para komunikator politik negeri ini. Untuk itu, disiapkan pula gambaran dasar perencanaan komunikasi politik yang mengarah ke sana. Identifikasi dimulai dari karakteristik manusia Indonesia secara teoretis sosiologis dan antropologis, kemudian dikritisi berdasarkan realitas kesejarahan (masa lalu) di lapangan, yang penulis alami pada masa kecil, terutama di kampung halaman penulis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sebenarnya Indonesia memiliki komunikasi politik yang khas, yang didasarkan pula pada sistem demokrasi Indonesia: Demokrasi Gotong Royong atau yang lebih dikenal –sebutannya (tidak substansinya)– Demokrasi Pancasila; yang didunia bisa dikatakan sebagai bentuk Model Monistik Emansipatory. Sayang demokrasi ini terkikis oleh dua lintasan globalisasi yang memunculkan pula dua tokoh penyebab kecelakaan sejarah. Upaya Sukarno dan GusDur-Mega untuk sementara terhambat. Memang tidaklah dia-sia.
