- W2285758246 abstract "The development of students' motor skills is one of the goals of Physical Education in lower grades of primary school. The realization of this goal depends on the teacher, respectively on the methodological approach (choice of methods and ways of work) he/she will use in PE classes. Basically, this research compares the impact of two different methodological approaches in Physical Education teaching to the development of coordination as the component of motor skills. From 73 third-grade students of 'Dositej Obradovic' Elementary school, 39 of them underwent experimental treatment during one semester. In the experimental treatment, physical exercises were planned depending on their set goals and programmed (dosed) throughout individualization (in three homogenous groups: below-average, average and above average, on the basis of the differentiation of pupils' level of motor abilities achieved) - a methodical approach focused at teaching goals, contrary to the control group which underwent traditional teaching - a methodical approach focused at teaching programmes. By the method of multi variance analysis of data, we have determined the significant differences between the two groups, before and after the treatment. The results show that in two coordination parameters (reorganization of movement stereotypes - based on polygon backwards test and physical agility - based on 8 bending down test). On this sample, this has proved that in differentiated PE teaching the methodical approach focusing at achieving teaching goals has statistically significant influence onto the development of coordination in third grade elementary school students when compared to the traditional programme focused teaching." @default.
