Both energyspreadand pulselengthwere foundto be adverselyaffectedby longitudinal spacechargeforces .The emittanceof thebeam was measuredusingthepepperpottechnique, and itsdependenceon spacechargeand rfphasewere found.The impactof theseresultson improvingthedesignand operationof highbrightness photoinjectors isdiscussed, in particular withrespecttoSASE FEL amplifiers suchastheUCLA 10mm FEL, andtheproposedSLAC X-rayFEL ." @default.
