- W2292387934 abstract "Abiotic stresses are vital factors for reducing plant productivity because they cause morphological, physiological, biochemical, and molecular changes that adversely affect plant development and yield. High temperature (HT) or heat stress causes one of the major types of stress-inducing cellular damage in plant species. HT leads to metabolic changes, growth retardation, oxidative stress, and cell death. Soybean is one of the most important oil crops and has diverse use as a food ingredient, abd contains high fat and proteins. Cultivation of soybean is increasing throughout the world. However, various abiotic stresses including HT are hindering the potential yield of soybean. Several studies investigated the negative effects of HT on soybean. Some attempts have been made to explore physiological mechanisms of HT tolerance in soybean. We reviewe recent progress in research on the effect of HT on soybean production and the advances made in exploring HT tolerance mechanisms." @default.
