- W2305890343 abstract "The Management Game LogisticPLUS is a general management game with a focus on logistical issues. It aims at showing Logistic Managers the impact of their decisions. During the simulation they can optimize their decision making and understand the effects of various parameters. The thesis is divided in the main parts Basics of Logistics, Basics of Management Games, Definition of LogisticPLUS, Definition of the directors module and Logistical Training. A user friendly software has been programmed to simulate the interaction between 5 competing companies. Each company has to produce two products in a multilevel process and have to sell these on overall three markets at the best. Each of the five teams has to take 52 decisions in every round in the areas of purchase, production, transport, sales, personnel and finance. After every round the decisions and their impact are analyzed in order to maximize the learning effect. Beside the standard financial analysis like income statement, balance sheet or liquidity analysis, some important logistical measures are presented, like costs and utilization of stocks, transport volumes, or transport costs. Finally, the overall competitive position and the evolution of the markets will be provided." @default.
