The conventional wave field separation methods such as median filter and F-K filter often have these problems: artificial effects, waveform mixing, amplitude distortion etc., and cannot extract the S wave completely. In this paper we present a new effective method that joints high resolution Radon transform and polarization filter to extract S wave from 3C cross-well seismic data, we extended high resolution Radon transform operator and based on the polarization difference of P and S wave in frequency domain (the product of upgoing P wave of component Z and component R is positive in frequency Radon domain, while the product of S wave is negative), S wave can be extracted easily. After that we apply high resolution anisotropic tomography to direct S wave and two steps migration to reflected S wave. Compared with P wave migration profile, S wave migration profile has higher resolution and more clear description of thin-inter-bedded and overlap sands.
