- W2313446573 abstract "Studying problems of working assets management as a basis of an enterprise operational management, the following summary results: - Contemporary enterprise operational management is result of a synthesis and knowledge application together with the analytic approach developed in numerous scientific disciplines. That is why one of the central problem in enterprise management is making balance - among various approaches to management, on one side, and need for applying appropriate concept in specific situations coming out of a certain problem, on the other side. Based on cited facts management can be defined as a 'process curried on by a certain group of people over direct actions in the scope of mutual aims'. - The most important group of assets in an enterprise are business assets. They are used for carrying basic activities in an enterprise on and that is how and why they got the name, for they serve for business purposes. Business assets are Fixed assets and working assets. Fixed assets are goods, rights and money which take part in business operations and transfer their values to business output gradually and return to the original form of appearance as a rule in the period longer than a year. Land, the value of which is not transferred, is the exception. Working assets are objects, rights and money as means that are used up in business activities once, that is, pass from one into the other bringing at once their total value along. - Net working assets are significant indicator when liquidity of an enterprise is concerned. Higher sum of the net working assets is a guarantee that the enterprise is able to pay every commitment in due course without problems. - There are possibilities as well, for a broad field of the Operations Research method application in an enterprise management. It should be noted, however, that their application in this field is, up to now, both in theory and in Yugoslav practice, more than a modest one. Great advancements and development of the computer technology during the last decade is a serious ground for the fast development of the optimization method. - Profitability, that is economic profitability, is a ratio between profit and assets used on the average level. Referring to its value from of expression exclusively, profitability is specially suitable for the mutual comparison of the controversial organizations, groups and branches, different fields of economy as well. It is in that form that profitability is the most significant economic principle when investment of funds into the most satisfactory direction is concerned. Profitability is to be measured on the basis of: (a) total revenue, and (b) according to assets. - Key statement that every manager is interested in is so called 'receipts and expenses account'. Although it is a derived statement, every manager is interested in the data, for an aimed function of every enterprise is profit each product, that is production program, has achieved, as well as what profit each enterprise during certain time period has realized." @default.
