TPI (Mw=3490, 6050, 6500) は結晶化してヘドライト, 楕円構造, 球晶的構造などを形成した. それらの構造は分子量が大になるにつれて複雑になった. TPI (Mw=23900) は小さな負の球晶を形成したが, TPI (Mw=35100) は微細な複屈折を示す構造を形成した. TPI (Mw=55600～85800) は溶融状態からは結晶化しないことがWAXD法により確かめられた. ラメラの厚さはSAXD図における長周期より決定された. TPI (Mw=3490) のラメラの厚さは伸張状態の分子鎖長にほぼ等しかったが, 分子量が6050から35100のTPIのラメラの厚さはほぼ同じであった. これらの結果は約20nm以上のTPIの分子鎖は結晶表面で折りたたまれて折りたたみ鎖結晶を形成するとして説明される." @default.
