- W2313771364 abstract "The present study is a review of past research and development into water-based simulants for MMH gelled propellants. Hydroxypropylcellulose (HPC) has historically been used as the gelling agent. The Carreau-Yasuda rheological model was implemented to determine which concentration of HPC in distilled water most accurately simulates current MMH gelled propellant. An aging study was also performed for the water-based simulant. Using the chosen simulant in subsequent impinging jet injector atomization studies resulted in no drop formation. Therefore, alternative gelling polymers will be investigated in the future." @default.
