- W2314184837 abstract "A two dimensional Multistage Aeroelastic Program, MSAP2D, is being developed at NASA Lewis Research Center. The MSAP2D code can be used for the steady and unsteady aerodynamic, and aeroelastic analysis of single or multiple row of cascades having unequal number of blades in the cascade. Earlier the code has been calibrated for multistage configurations. In the present effort the code has been modified to include prescribed gust excitation input. The modification has been validated by comparing the analysis with measured data. The required unsteady aerodynamic forces are obtained from an Euler solver based on a flux differencing scheme. The aerodynamic solver is coupled with a typical section structural model for each blade of the cascade in each row. The aeroelastic response characteristics are analyzed in the time domain, by sequentially solving the structural and aerodynamic equations for each time step. The aerodynamic response calculations for vortical gust (perturbation in velocity) for the experimental turbine cascade showed reasonable agreement with the measured data." @default.
