IJBMS is completely managed through online services which require huge involvement of expert opinion and technical skill at different stages of publication. Furthermore, under a new acquisition we experienced and adopted new policies to accomplish editorial duties. I am delighted to remember the team efforts by my colleagues that empowered us to process knowledge in this competitive era of publications. The International Journal of Business and Management Research been renamed as International Journal of Business and Management Science. One of the main reasons to rename the journal was to broaden the scope as well as to focus strongly on the research problems that are analyzed more scientifically with mathematical tools. IJBMS emphasizes on in-depth analysis of business and managerial problems. The new acquisition authority also believes that the new name may reflect its contents more meaningfully and effectively than the earlier one. At the beginning the journal was financially supported by the MARA University of Technology (UiTM), Malaysia. Due to renaming and other signatory issues, we have moved out of UiTM's support and trying to publish it with the support of the Society for Alliance, Fidelity and Advancement (SAFA). The members of this society are actively supporting us to publish IJBMS with regular and special issues. We are very glad to share that IJBMS has been indexed in three eminent indexing services--Cabell's Directory, Ebscohost and Proquest- and under evaluation process of many others. From the first issue, all the published articles will be available through Ebscohost and Proquest sooner. The indexing status offered by these top services is a great achievement for the journal in about two years of its journey. In 2009, we plan to publish two regular issues and two special issues. The special issues are focused on entrepreneurship under extreme conditions and security and trust issues of e-commerce. We have brought many changes in the review process of IJBMS. The journal is strictly using the index 'Standardized Acceptance Factor Average (SAFATM)'. We cordially urge our readers to learn about the index before they submit their manuscript to the journal. Learning to Be an Author of a Journal Article 'How to start writing', 'where to start from', 'whenever I start writing I get lost', 'after writing a few words, I can't proceed any further', 'I feel I don't have enough to write an article' and so on are all common gripes I am used to hearing and responding to in training events or workshops. Many of the articles that are sent to my journals and I edit lack adequate organization, have poorly written literature sections and poor presentation styles. It is normal to find new authors suffering from these kinds of problems compared to a more experienced author. New authors are those who lack any journal publishing experience and compromise mostly of postgraduate students or new lecturers. Some of them say that once they pick up a pen all the ideas are evaporate. I have also noticed that many of them wish to convert their masters or doctoral dissertations into a book. …" @default.
