- W2315035496 abstract "The assessment of the interactions of pesticides chlorsulfuron (a herbicide) and difenoconazole (a fungicide) largely used in Romania with the human enzymes CYP2C8, CYP2C9 and CYP2C19 is performed by molecular docking using the SwissDock and MTiAutoDock servers. To our knowledge, this is a first study dealing with the interactions of these pesticides with CYP2C subfamily of enzymes. Both pesticides reveal favourable binding to all CYP2C considered enzymes, the fungicide displaying a higher binding affinity than the herbicide probably due to its higher hydrophobicity. Also, the binding affinity of pesticides is comparable with that obtained for the drugs and/or inhibitors known to interact with these enzymes: warfarin for CYP2C9, montelukast for CYP2C8 and 0XV for 2CYPC19. It is important to understand how these pesticides interact with CYPs enzymes in order to take into consideration possible synergistic effects between the pesticides exposure and/or drugs intake conducting to drug-drug interactions and thus to high xenobiotic levels in humans and severe health problems." @default.
