The history of a patient presented with high fever, muscle rigidity, and loss of consciousness to the emergency service should be carefully analyzed.Case Report: A 14-year-old boy with mutism, dysphagia, loss of consciousness, and urine incontinence was presented to our emergency service. Analysis of the patient’s history revealed that he was administered risperidone (100 mg) for10 days. The boy looked sick and confused on examination. The laboratory findings were nearly normal. The patient was diagnosed with NMS and was transfered to the pediatric intensive care unit.Conclusion: NMS is a fatal clinical contidition and should be diagosed immediately. The patient’s history should be carefully analyzed. NMS should be immediately diagnosed if there is a history of antipsycotic drug usage" @default.
