- W2316334377 abstract "Knowledge of the fuel regression rate is one of the keys to accurate prediction of hybrid rocket motor performance. Unlike the traditional solid propellant burning rate, the fuel regression rate is relatively insensitive to motor chamber pressure. Building upon industry experience and based primarily on 24 inch diameter sub-scale motor tests, a model for fuel regression and ballistic performance was established. Observations from the 24 inch diameter 3/4 Scale Port Series motors were found to be distinctly different from other motors that had a typical wagon -wheel design. The regression rates for the % Scale Port Series motors were found to be approximately 30% less than those obtained from the wagon-wheel motors." @default.
