The analysis model for contact stress distribution between crowned tapered roller and raceway, together with the computational model of bearing fatigue life, is provided as the basic of crowning design. The design parameter of logarithmic crown profile is determined after analyzing the effect of crowning parameter on stress distribution and bearing’s fatigue life under the given conditions. By introducing the fatigue life of bearing as the objective function in the crowning design, the optimal logarithmic crowning parameter can be obtained quantitatively. Moreover, the upper and lower deviation values of the crowning parameter are obtained by referring to the allowable values of the fatigue life and the contact length coefficient, providing the reference for engineering design in application." @default.
