- W2325649061 abstract "GPU(Graphics Processing Unit)はコア数を増加させることで集積度を増し，電力密度を増やすことなく年率1.7倍の集積度増を続けており, 今後しばらくその勢いを緩めることはない．数百～数千個のコアを1チップに集積し，大規模な並列処理が可能となっている．GPUメーカーもソフト開発環境を提供するなど，普及に力を入れていることもあり，GPUの計算能力を一般科学技術計算に適用する試みが注目を浴びるようになってきた．大規模な問題を扱うLSI設計や検証に対しても，その可能性が広がっている．本稿ではGPUを用いたLSI設計の高速化の動向について，以下の二つの観点でまとめる．まず，画像専用プロセッサGPUがいかに生まれ，それが，どのような経緯で一般科学計算に用いられるようになったかという点を解説する．次に，複雑なLSI設計の各種問題に，GPUの計算能力がどのように適用され，どれだけのパフォーマンスの改善が期待できるか，あるいは，今後のアルゴリズム開発がどのように変わっていくかという点について述べる．" @default.
