Comparisons of the ($p, d^{3}mathrm{He}$) data to both ($p, pensuremath{alpha}$) data and distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations indicate a dominance of the direct quasifree reaction process ($p+ensuremath{alpha}ensuremath{rightarrow}d+^{3}mathrm{He}$).
