- W2328659505 abstract "Next generation (NextGen) sequencing technologies enable the simultaneous sequencing of up to millions of DNA or RNA molecules, are coming into wider use in discovery and profiling of small noncoding RNAs, such as microRNAs(miRNAs). Circulating miRNAs can be detected in serum and plasma samples, which had been shown as potential useful candidates for diagnostic and other clinical applications. To investigate the effect of next generation sequencing technology in profiling circulating miRNA, We detected maternal plasma miRNAs expression profiles using SOLiD sequencing platform. The results showed that the distribution and abundance of specific miRNAs in plasma are varying during physiological pregnancy process. The functions of target genes of those abundant plasma miRNAs implied that these miRNAs may involve in regulation of some physiologic processes, such as inflammatory process, muscle differentiation, insulin resistance. This study proved SOLiD sequencing technology is an effective method for circulating miRNAs expression profiling. The result also shows that miRNAs may play the important regulating roles in pregnancy process." @default.
