- W2334852073 abstract "In an experiment of Marangoni convection in a half-zone liquid bridge of low-Prandtlnumber fluid, molten tin, we measured temperatures at the top and bottom disk surfaces. Analyzing the fluctuations of the temperature time series, we detected the critical Marangoni numbers; Mac2-1 at which high-frequency (f2-1) oscillation begins, and Mac2-2 at which the transition to low-frequency (f2-2) oscillation occurs. We also confirmed the superposition of f2-1 and f2-2 modes for Ma > Mac2-2. Furthermore, the mode structure and the rotation of the temperature distribution were elucidated through the multipoint measurements.
