- W233498271 abstract "Abstract－When ammonia (NH 3 ) gas was supplied to a biofilter packed with bio-carrier made of waste polyurthane and worm cast. No odor gases were detected at the outlet of the biofilter when NH 3 gas was supplied to the biofilter at the space velocity(SV) of 50 h -1 until the inlet NH 3 concentration increased to 4 ~ 454 ppmv. The gradual inlet NH 3 concentration was set and the removal efficiency of NH 3 gas was measured at each condition, while the SV of NH 3 increased step by step from 100 to 400 h -1 . The maximum possible inlet NH 3 loading was 11.38 g-NH 3 ․m -3 ․h -1 and 34.42 g-NH 3 ․m -3 ․h -1 while maintaining the removal efficiency of 100% when the SV was 50 h -1 and 100 h -1 , respectively. The maximum NH 3 loading was 71.28 g-NH 3 ․m -3 ․h -1 with the NH 3 removal efficiency of 99.85% at SV 300 h -1 . Key words: Biofilter, Ammonia, Bio-carrier 1. 서 론 악취는 대기오염문제 중에서도 가장 까다롭고, 해결하기 어려운 특성을 가지고 있으며, 그 종류도 대단히 많을 뿐만 아니라 복합적인 작용과 후각의 개인적인 차이 등으로 인하여 그 감각량과 피해도를 표기하기가 힘들며, 냄새에 대한 설명이나 표현 방법도 개인에 따라 차이가 있다[1]. 또한 이로 인해 악취 성분은 불쾌감에 대한 일정한 기준이나 측정방법으로는 정량적으로 표시하기 곤란한데, 이는 장소나 기상조건, 시간에 따른 변동을 고려해야 하기 때문이다. 악취 성분의 발생 원인은 크게 자연적 원인과 인위적 원인*To whom correspondence should be addressed.
