- W2335545332 abstract "Spatial velocity electrocardiograms of 100 normal individuals and 110 individuals with myocardial infarctions were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by means of an electronic computer. The blockdiagram is shown in Fig.1 . Three scalar electrocardiograms (ECG) of the Frank system were sequentially introduced in the differentiating circuits, squaring circuits, adding circuits, and square root circuits. Calculations were made automatically according to the following formula: Spatral velocity ECG=√(((bX)/(bt))2+((bY)/(bt))2+((bZ)/(bTt))2) Spatial velocity ECG and three scalar ECG of the Frank system were simultaneously recorded through four channel heatwriting oscillograph with paper speed of 100 mm per second. The time constant of differentiating circuits was 10 msec. Calibrations were made by introducing 4 Hz of sine waves into the differentiating circuits. The formula employed in this procedure is the following: V= ωr = 2πfr One-hundred and ten individuals with myocardial infarction aged 17-80 and 100 normal individuals aged 18-42 were subjected to the study. The diagnosis of myocardial infarction was made based on the clinical histories, clinical findings, laboratory data, findings in the standard ECG and VCG, etc. The results obtained are as follows: T waves in the spatial velocity ECG of normal individuals were two-peaked; the first peak (a-wave) was smaller than the second (c-wave), and they were separated by a deep incisura (b-point). Velocities and time intervals were estimated on various parameters as shown in Fig.3. The normal values are given in Table I; Mean velocities of a-, c-waves, and b-point were 3.6±1.3 8.8±2.6, and 0.6±0.6 mV/sec, respectively, c/a ratio being 2.6±0.7." @default.
