- W2341496906 abstract "The research developed in this PhD thesis aims at contributing to the development and introduction of new gaseous fuels from renewable sources in the European energetic mix through the thermodynamic characterization of mixtures containing the main components of these alternative fuels. The work provides high accurate experimental (p, ρ, T) data of three (CH4 + He) binary mixtures with concentrations of (5, 10 y 50 mol-% He), a synthetic non-conventional gas mixture type CMM (coal mine methane) composed by ten components and containing 64 mol-% of methane and a synthetic biogas-like mixture composed by four components and containing 50 mol-% of methane. Nine isotherms between (240 y 400) K and up to 20 MPa of pressure were carried out for the (CH4 + He) binary mixtures, seven isotherms between (250 y 400) K and up to 15 MPa for the CMM mixture and six isotherms between (275 y 400) K and up to 20 MPa for the biogas-like mixture. The second and the third interaction virial coefficients for the (CH4 + He) binary mixtures were also estimated. The experimental density results were compared with the values estimated from the GERG-2008 and the AGA8-DC92 equations of state, which are the reference equations for natural gases. These results will contribute to the evaluation and improvement of equations of state which will allow the accurate estimation of the key properties of the new alternative fuels. -- La investigacion desarrollada en este trabajo de tesis doctoral pretende contribuir al desarrollo e introduccion de nuevos combustibles gaseosos de origen renovable en el mix energetico europeo a traves de la caracterizacion termodinamica de mezclas de los componentes principales de estos combustibles alternativos. La tesis aporta datos (p, ρ, T) experimentales de alta precision de tres mezclas binarias de (CH4 + He) con (5, 10 y 50 mol-% He), una mezcla sintetica de un gas no-convencional tipo CMM (coal mine methane) con diez componentes y un 64 mol-% de metano y una mezcla sintetica de biogas con cuatro componentes y un 50 mol-% de metano. Se realizaron nueve isotermas a temperaturas entre (240 y 400) K y hasta 20 MPa de presion para las mezclas binarias de (CH4 + He), siete isotermas entre (250 y 400) K y hasta 15 MPa para la mezcla de CMM y seis isotermas entre (275 y 400) K y hasta 20 MPa para la mezcla sintetica de biogas. Ademas se han estimado los coeficientes de interaccion viriales de segundo y tercer orden y de las mezclas binarias de (CH4 + He). Los resultados experimentales de densidad obtenidos en las mezclas estudiadas han sido comparados con los valores estimados a traves de las ecuaciones de estado de referencia para el gas natural, GERG-2008 y AGA8-DC92, en las mismas condiciones de presion y temperatura. Con los resultados obtenidos se espera contribuir al analisis y la mejora de las ecuaciones de estado de referencia con la finalidad de que la industria gasista pueda estimar de manera precisa y fiable las propiedades termofisicas clave de estos nuevos combustibles." @default.
