- W2347982481 abstract "Effects of propolis fruit wax, chitosan coating and control on Pyrus pyrifolia quality during the shelf life were studied under the condition of 25～30 ℃. The results showed that: Pear ring rot disease lesion extension could be restrained significantly by the fruit wax treatment. The pears, which skin coating with propolis fruit wax, their decay rate and weight loss rate were 2.5% and 4.9% after 20 d of storage, the relative conductivity rose by only 6.7%, the fruit hardness and total acid decreased by 25.5% and 26.6%, respectively, and reducing sugars, soluble solids content had been increased slowly in the state, the shelf life of the pears longer than 20 days.
