- W2348071174 abstract "Objective To investigate the antitumor effects of 10-hydroxycamptothecin( HCPT) against human adrenocortical carcinoma SW-13 xenografts in nude mice. Methods Xenografts models were established by subcutaneous injection of SW-13 cells into BALB/c nude mice. Tumor-bearing mice were randomly divided into control group( n = 8),intervention group A( n =8) and intervention group B( n = 8),then administrated with normal saline,0. 30 mg /ml HCPT,0. 45 mg /ml HCPT by intraperitoneal injection respectively,the injection volume was 10 ml /kg,once a day,the administration conducted in the first 5 days and then stopped in the last 2 days every week,the whole treatment lasted for 2 weeks. The tumor growth curves and event-free survival( EFS) curves were drawn and measured,and the optimal % T/C and EFS T/C values of each group were calculated. Results The tumor growth curves of intervention groups were flatter than that of control group,and presented a delay growth. The mean event-free survivals of control group,intervention group A and intervention group B were 5 days,8 days and 17 days,respectively. The optimal % T /C of intervention group A and intervention group B both were below 40%,which suggested that HCPT had the treatment effects. The EFS T /C value of intervention group A was 1. 75,which suggested that 0. 30 mg /ml HCPT was of low antitumor effect. The EFS T /C value of intervention group B was 3. 25,and the reduction in tumor volume wasn' t observed,which suggested that0. 45 mg /ml HCPT was of intermediate antitumor effect. Conclusion HCPT has antitumor effects against human adrenocortical carcinoma SW-13 xenografts in nude mice,and it can inhibit the tumor growth. However,the antitumor effect of the dose needs a further study." @default.
