- W2348150420 abstract "Objective:To determine the value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and ultrasonography on diagnosis of adrenal medulla hyperplasia model rats.Methods:60 male SD rats were divided into 6 groups randomly,10 rats in each group. As experiment group,A,B,C group were subcutaneously injected with reserpine(0.4 mg·kg-1·d-1) from the beginning to 40,60,80 days respectively.As compare,the control groups(a,b,c group) were only injected with 0.9% sodium chloride simultaneously.MRI and ultrasonography and pathology study were performed for all the subjects on 40,60,and 80 days respectively.Results:The percent of medulla were higher in B and C groups than that in b and c groups respectively((34.29±5.81)% vs(25.66±8.94)%,t=2.462,P0.05;(36.36±7.83)% vs(24.80±7.87)%,t=3.104,P0.01).The size of adrenal measured by MR and US were larger in B and C groups than that in b and c groups respectively.There were significant differences of the T2WI signal of adrenal medulla core between B and b group(Z=-3.786,P0.01) or C and c groups(Z=-3.570,P0.01).Higher T1WI signal of peripheral adrenal cortex can be observed in parts of experiment group rats while pathology study displayed fascicular zone hyperplasia and hypertrophic cells as vacuole.The significant differences of the ranking characteristics of ultrasonic imaging can be observed obviously between B and b group and C and c group.Pathology examination showed the thickness of adrenal medulla and a large number of nested medulla cells,distributed with patch and cord in B and C group.Conclusion:Both MRI and ultrasonography could be used to monitor the adrenal medulla hyperplasia of rats." @default.
