- W2348310411 abstract "Objective To evaluate the selective arteriography i n the assessment of the blood vessel injury. Methods In total 58 patients suspecte d with blood vessel injury undertook the intraluminal arteriography. The cathete r was inserted via the contralateral femoral artery using Seldinger’ s puncture . When the proper catheter was induced nearby the proximal end of target vessel, a selective DSA was performed. Results Positive results were obtained in 55 p atients with a positive rate of 95% . The DSA was negative in 3 cases. Ruptured vessels were found in 8 cases, contusion of the blood vessels was seen in 22, angiospasm was revealed in 5, compressed blood vessel was demonstrated in 7, occ luded blood vessels were noted in 36, increased collateral circulation was visua lized in 38, false aneurysm was demonstrated in 5, A-V fistula was shown in 1 case, and finally, spatium interfasciale syndrome manifested in 4 cases. The inj uries were complicated with fractures in 39 cases, joint dislocation in 4, pure joint dislocation in 2, stab wound in 4, and miscellaneous trauma in other 9 cas es. Conclusion Selective arteriography provides precise imaging essential for ea rly diagnosis of the vascular disorders, which is the gold standard for the vasc ular injury. Early diagnosis and surgical intervention are helpful to reduce the sequela and amputation." @default.
