- W2348561225 abstract "AIM:To study the correlation between plasma adiponectin level and complement C3 expression in patients with coronary heart disease.METHODS:Thirty-five consecutive patients with coronary heart disease were recruited in this study,among them 16 patients had stable angina and 19 had unstable angina;24 healthy people matched in terms of age,sex and body mass served as controls.Plasma adiponectin level was tested with ELISA and serum C3 was tested with rate nephelometry.The relationships among plasma adiponectin,serum C3 and coronary heart disease were analyzed.RESULTS:Compared with healthy controls,serum level of C3 was increased significantly in the unstable angina pectoris group [(1.59±0.42)g/L vs(1.27±0.25)g/L,P0.05],while the plasma level of adiponectin was decreased significantly in the stable angina pectoris group and the unstable angina pectoris group[6.62(1.19～15.50),4.97(1.07～14.80) mg/L vs 10.25(4.51～28.23)mg/L,P0.05].Plasma adiponectin level was negatively correlated with complement C3,triglycerides(TG),body mass,waist circumference and waist-hip ratio(P0.05);complement C3 was positively correlated with TG(P=0.000),and negatively with adiponectin(P=0.041).CONCLUSION:The levels of adiponectin and C3 might be closely related with the development of coronary heart disease;complement C3 is negatively correlated with adiponectin,suggesting that adiponectin might influence the expression of complement C3." @default.
