- W2348635942 abstract "The distributed and diversified resources in the world have been changed according to the consuming and economic paten within the framework of globalization during the last quarter of century.China has been active involved in the globalization of natural resources since China participated WTO,not only in the increased volumes of export and import of the resources,but also with the broad regions of the world else.However,the scientific research on the world resource in China is very weak.Only 0.7% of the 4 445 outcomes of the scientific research projects,2.88% of the 24 434 articles in Chinese journals from 1995～2005 which related to the natural resources,1.1% of the total thesises from the universities and academies are related to the world resources including the outside of China.Without the scientific research on the world resources,China would not use the resources worldwide within the framework of WTO efficiently.After an analysis of the reasons why it is so different in the scientific research on the natural resources in China and the world else,the following recommends are conducted in this paper: 1) the government should pay more attention and should take the responsibility to make the national strategies in the scientific research on world resources and environment within the framework of globalization;2) the universities should pay more attention in developing the graduate program on world resources and environment,especially in Ph.D.programs;3) the information infrastructure for world resources and environment research is necessary,China should realize that it is almost impossible without the open access to the scientific data and information which are related to the world resources and environment; 4) to support an open and joint institute in the inter-academies manner which should provide more opportunities for diversity studies in the world resources and global environment change;and 5) enhancing the communication among the experts in worldwide,especially in the scientific communities of the world resources and environment." @default.
