- W2348853793 abstract "Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical application of endoscopic technique in augmentation of alloplastic chin.Methods A total of 32 patients(age 18～45 years,women 25,men 7)with microgenia were performed operation by endoscope-assisted a minimally intraoral straight incision with subperiosteal exposure of the mandibular mentum area.The mental muscle not be cut on the approach,note relaxtion of the mental nerves,the use of two-piece porous polyethylene implants for augmentation and screw fixation of the implant to the mandible.Screw fixation improves the predictability and precision of reconstruction by preventing implant displacement,by obliterating gaps between the implant and the facial skeleton,and by facilitating final implant contouring.Results This approach allowed anatomically correct,stable chin contours to be created.Soft-tissue distortion resulting from implant migration and scar contracture have been avoided.There have been no mental nerve injuries.The use of an endoscope offers a clear view of the region to be augmented and easy placed implants.Conclusion It is showed that the endoscopic assisted augmentation of alloplastic chin offers more satisfactory clinical results with a clear view of operation and less soft-tissue distortion,preventing mental nerve injuries,ruduced surgical trauma." @default.
