- W2349187853 abstract "This paper describes method how to analyze and calculate electric field distribution of typical 500 kV current transformer by using ANSYS and gains a result.The calculation result indicates that the interface between grounding screen tube and SF6gas gap,the interface between primary winding and SF6gas gap and the interface between screen tubes of suspended potential and high voltage potential and SF6gas gap are major areas of maximum electric field intensity.The maximum electric field intensity is respectively reaching to 7.85 kV/mm,6.57 kV/mm and 5.81 kV/mm which comparatively means weak part for gas insulation.If there are some substances such as metal protrusions and fragments in these areas,it is easy to cause serious electric field distortion which may result in serious potential safety hazard.In fault simulation testing for 500 kV typical current transformer,it is suggested to proceed fault simulation testing for these weak links." @default.
