- W2350058448 abstract "Objective To find out the advantages and effects of Lichtenstein tension-free hernioplasty with artificial mesh.Methods We repaired 65 cases and 82 sides of recurrenced inguinal hernia by Lichtenstein tension-free hernioplasty with artificial mesh.Results The operating time for one side hernia expended 45～110 minutes(m = 75 mins).The time of discharged from the hospital was 5～8 d(m = 6.5 d).No complications such as incision infection,hard mass and stubbornly pain postoperatively,but 3cases with uroschesis,1 case of hematoma of scrotum and scrotal hydrops in 3 cases with 4 sides of hernias were found in this series.Follow-up for 6～96 months,1 case recurrenced again after 13 months postoperatively in this series.Conclusion The artificial mesh Lichtenstein tension-free hernioplasty is safe,simple,effective, and cheap hernia repairing method,and it is easy to recover with few of suffering postoperatively,and it is especially suitable for relapsed and old aged inguinal hernia." @default.
