- W2350455585 abstract "Reading is an essential skill for English as second/foreign language students.Enhancing reading teaching and research on improving students' reading comprehension should be the main focus.In recent years,schema theory has been established.Schema theory of reading says that reading is a communication between reader and text and also a combination of the prior knowledge stored in reader's brain and the new information conveyed by the text.This paper is to explore the effect of schema training strategies in EFL reading comprehension with a combination of descriptive qualitative and quantitative method.It can be concluded from the study that the schema strategy training does improve the learners' capacity of understanding information and enhance their overall reading skills.Therefore the author's model of schema strategy training proves to be effective in terms of the results of the experiment." @default.
