- W2350551412 abstract "OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the perioperative prophylactic application of antibiotics in our hospital. METHODS:Antibiotics evaluation medical records of 289 surgical patients in our hospital from Jan. to Dec. in 2010 were analyzed retrospectively in respect of selection of antibiotics, medication time, treatment course, drug combination and drug expenditure, etc. RESULTS:Among 289 patients, perioperative prophylactic application of antibiotics accounted for 98.96% (286 cases) with 349 times of drug use totally. The frequency of antibiotics use was 1.21 times. 120 cases (41.96%) received antibiotics 0.5～2 h before operation. Mean medication duration was 7.02 days. 10 categories and 35 kinds of antibiotics were used in perioperative period. The top 3 drugs for typeⅠand Ⅱ incision operation were the first-generation and second-generation cephalosporins and cephamycins, and the top 3 drugs in the list of application frequency were cefathiamidine (61 cases/times), ceftezole (54 cases/times), cefmetazole (36 cases/times). The average cost of antibiotics was 1 017.48 yuan, accounting for 12.91% of total hospital costs. CONCLUSIONS:Irrational use of perioperative prophylactic antibiotics is common and must be standardized with relevant measures." @default.
