- W2350604310 abstract "The primary hulls of high-speed vehicles usually suffer severe transient responses due to fluid impacts such as bottom slamming, deck wetting, etc., under rough seas. Some ships are left vibrating significantly for comparatively long periods of time after one of these impacts. The fore deck structures may buckle to damage and the hulls fatigue as a result of the shock loading, which may well cause shipwreck events. There are some limitations in improving the structural design itself traditionally. In order to improve the travel properties of high-speed vehicles under rough seas and prevent structural damages effectively from the fluid impacts, the paper puts forward an active control method and discusses the optimum control principles, design methods of actuator and observer. A set of simulation system SIMUSHIP for actively controlling ship primary structural responses is constructed. Some conclusions presented are of theoretical and practical significance based on the simulations of a full-scale ship." @default.
