- W2350767975 abstract "Purpose: To study the difference of density of segments of the cerebral falx and its effect to CT diagnosis in interhemispheric fissure hemorrhage(IFH).Materials and Methods: To estimate visually the density of 100 cases with normal cerebral falx and 50 cases of that with IFH,and to measure CT value of each segment respectively, comparing them with the density of temporal muscle. Results: In visual estimation, the density of 93% normal cerebral falxes was lower than that of the temporal muscle, and among normal cases, the density of 88% precallosal segments of falx was lower than that of retrocallosal segments, the density of 100% middle part of superacallosal segments of falx was lower than that of the posterior and anterior part. While the density of 82% of falx with IFH was higher than that of temporal muscle,of 18% both were similar. The density of each segment of the cerebral falx depended on the position and quantity of the blood.Mean value of CT of each segment of cerebral falx which was in normal or IFH was 40~54Hu at precallosal segment,45/58Hu at retrocallosal segment,42~45Hu at the anterior part of the superacallosal segment,36~52Hu at the middle part of that,47~65Hu at posterior part of that. The density of 46(92%) cases of falx in bleeding areas was higher than that of temporal muscle. Conclusion: It is a feature that the density of each segment of normal cerebral falx has some difference.Acquaintance with this feature may avail to CT diagnosis of IFH." @default.
